adidas VP of Marketing Eric Liedtke Scheduled to Appear on this Weekend's Edition of SBR
I'm excited to have the opportunity to catch up with adidas VP of Marketing Eric Liedtke for this weekend's edition of Sports Business Radio. Liedtke last joined me in May of 2006 when we discussed the three stripes' effort with World Cup soccer and their signing of Reggie Bush to an endorsement deal. adidas is going to have a big presence in Vegas for this weekend's NBA All-Star game. As part of its 11-year sponsorship deal with the NBA announced last April adidas agreed to provide the new All-Star uniform a limited-edition shoe line and become the presenting sponsor of the NBA Jam Session an interactive basketball theme park. The newly designed NBA All-Star uniform will feature a brand's mark and logo for the first time in NBA history. adidas also will release a specially created shoe line for the occasion - the Vegas Collection - five shoe packages of classic adidas designs mixed with the flair of All-Star 2007. The Jam Session presented by adidas and other consumer activities allow fans to connect with the brand helping adidas in its goal to become synonymous with the game of basketball. We'll discuss adidas' efforts as well as the overall business behind the 2007 NBA All-Star game in Las Vegas on this weekend's edition of SBR.
